An integral talent at Salon AKS, Mika has established herself as a bridal specialist and detail oriented hairtylist. Utilizing skills learned in art school and fashion, Mika's looks are designed to frame an individual’s face and body. Mika is constantly sought after by New York's most prominent socialites, editors and New York's fashion savvy. She is known for her men's cuts that range from clean cut to edgy. Always in demand, Mika frequently travels and makes house calls to accommodate the needs of her loyal clientele. Mika’s work has been seen in fashion shows for Ralph Lauren, Erickson Beamon and Alfred Angelo. In New York Magazine's "Best of New York," Mika was recognized for giving the best blow-dry in the city. She has also been featured in The New York Times, Allure, Brides.com, Self, InStyle Weddings, InStyle and Ladies Home Journal, to name a few. She is a believer in continuing education and regularly takes courses with Loreal, Phytologie, and with celebrity stylists including Jen Atkin and Sam McKnight.
